One huge advantage of unprocessed virgin human hair is full dye and bleach compatibility. If you want to create custom hair colors like honey blonde, burgundy, ginger or ombre shades, follow our safe bleaching tutorial to avoid ruining your hair bundles.
Start by conducting a strand test on a small piece of loose hair first to predict the final color result. Prepare professional hair bleach powder, 20–30 volume developer and deep conditioning mask. Do not use over 40 volume developer, which burns hair cuticles and causes irreversible dryness and breakage.
Apply bleach mixture evenly from hair mid-length to ends, avoid direct contact with lace or wig knots. Check the hair color every 10 minutes, rinse immediately once you hit your target lightness. After bleaching, use protein deep conditioner to repair damaged hair cuticles for at least 30 minutes.
Important reminder: Processed remy hair and synthetic hair cannot be bleached safely, so always confirm your hair grade before attempting any color transformation. This tutorial works for bundles, closures and full lace wigs alike.
